Hives

Each full super holds about 40 lbs of honey. The black patch on outside of the hive (right next to MB's leg) is a cluster of bees that were once inside the hive. I drove them off the top super with a few squirts of (very stinky) butyric acid on a fume board that I substituted for the hive lid. They went down through the inside the hive, out the entrance at the bottom and onto the outside of the hive.
