Afternoon Thunder Bumpers

Texas may be hot as blue blazes in the summer, but the thunderstorms, when we get them, are great. Sunny and hot at mid-afternoon and near quitting time, we'll have a huge dark gray horizon envelope us with cooler, drier air, rain, wind and thunder before moving off. We're left with the calm of prolonged, distant rumbles and placid skies shedding their last showers.
This cloud shot was from earlier this week after the storms moved through. Te Deum.
Now for the more measurable side of things, here are some graphs of our storm today. High of 95 at 2:00 PM. During the storm at 4:00, a drop of 20 degrees in 30 min to 70, dew point down 10 degrees, wind gusting to 28 MPH and 0.55" of rain.
